David Zuel
1951-07-03 2007-02-26
David died in 2007 at the age of 55 after a courageous battle with cancer.
In the fall of ‘69, David enlisted in the Marine Corps. After being discharged, he returned home and established a successful business. David always had a very strong work ethic.
Survived by daughters, grandsons, brothers, sister, and many extended family members and friends. He will be missed immensely, thought about daily and will never, ever be forgotten, as there has never been a greater Dad or Grandpa.
He had a true passion for a great book, a strong cup of coffee, anything wood, or any kind of power tool. He loved traveling the world and conversing with anyone regardless of the language barrier. He possessed an incredible mind and an even kinder heart, which he shared with us all unconditionally. He believed that we all are equal and that everyone deserves a second chance, even a third one, never did he turn his back on anyone who needed his help.
From his son: We love you Dad, enjoy the peace you now have found, thank you for your strength, thank you for being my hero and we look forward to the day we all meet again. Semper Fi!
Tribute from a classmate:
>I am saddened to learn about the loss of Dave. I knew Dave in Junior/Senior high school, growing up in St. Louis Park. We were confirmed together at Westwood Lutheran Church. He was kind, sincere, and a friend to everyone he met. Over the years, we have all taken different paths from St. Louis Park. It is a tribute to Dave that he always retained those wonderful qualities that he displayed during our early years of friendship. He must have been an exemplary Dad and Grandfather!
