Robert Singer
1951-05-24 2012-07-15
Bob died in 2012 at the age of 61 due to a stroke and stomach cancer.
Bob graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in business and then moved to Los Angeles where he earned his MBA at the University of Southern California. He subsequently took a job as a marketing executive for Intel Corporation.
In 2006, he retired to Sacramento to play golf, ride his Harley, and snowboard. He is survived by wife, Cindy, two sisters and their families, and many friends.
One classmate’s best story is when Bob was working for IBM; he called one day to say he went to work for this small company called Intel. It worked out pretty well for him.
From the tributes on his obituary page:
>Bob made corporate life at Intel a fun adventure. We worked hard and played hard. He had a wonderful sense of humor, endless advice for all who would listen. He obtained great results while inspiring those that worked with and for him. Can't believe he's gone so soon.
>Bob was so much fun! I remember the white elephant parties that he and Cindy would have, and all the goofy presents we'd get stuck with. Bob always had a mischievous spark in his eyes.
